God Loves You Initiative -GLY

A transformed society with a positive living and fear of God

Know About Us

God Loves You (GLY) is a faith-based nonprofit, non-political initiative dedicated to giving services and working with vulnerable people in South Sudan

GLYI was found in 2021 in response to reach out to the traumatized and vulnerable group through sharing the word of God and giving a Christian love to the people who have lost hope so that they can have equal ethics and positive rights of living in the society and can freely have participatory activities regardless of their difference, gender, variation, culture and nature because it’s believed that every human is equal

Our Vision & Mission

Vision

A transformed society with a positive living and the fear of God

Mission

Creating a change to hurting families through sustainable transformative skills and shared love of God

Our Core Thematic Areas

Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL)

Yei and the surrounding areas of Central Equatoria State are known as the “Green Belt” of South Sudan. Our FSL initiatives focus on unlocking this immense agricultural potential to move communities from dependency to self-reliance. We are committed to restoring the breadbasket of the region by supporting local farmers and vulnerable households.

Child Protection

At God Loves You Initiative (GLY), we believe every person deserves to live in a safe environment free from violence and neglect. In the aftermath of conflict, the vulnerable remain at risk. Our mission is to build robust protection systems that ensure the physical and social well-being of all individuals in our care and the community.

Education

At God Loves You Initiative (GLY), we provide vital support to less privileged school-age children through comprehensive scholarships and academic resources. Beyond the classroom, our mentorship programs empower youth with the guidance and skills needed to succeed. We are committed to fostering excellence and leadership across South Sudan

Trauma Healing

GLY fosters resilience through trauma healing sessions in primary and secondary schools. We reach the wider public through radio talk shows, community sensitization, and inclusive dialogues. By addressing emotional wounds and promoting reconciliation, we empower South Sudanese communities to overcome the past and build a foundation for peace
